GlendonThe Village of Glendon, population 486, is a small active municipality that was incorporated on February 15, 1956. It is located about 45 kilometers north of the Town of St. Paul, 49 kilometers west of the Town of Bonnyville, and about 70 kilometers from the City of Cold Lake. Eight kilometers north of highway 28, the Village of Glendon may be considered the entrance to the Lakeland Provincial Park.

The Village of Glendon has a great potential for growth as it is located about 60 kilometers from some of the heavy oil projects.

World's Largest PyrogyLocated within the Municipal District of Bonnyville, Glendon is surrounded by numerous recreational and fishing lakes, such as Minnie Lake, Bangs Lake, Moose Lake, Muriel Lake, Seibert Lake (trophy), Pinehurst Lake, Spencer Lake, and many others. Many tourists travel through the village to see our Pyrogy and to access the Lakeland Provincial Park. The Village of Glendon would like to welcome you to the home of "The World Largest Pyrogy" which is situated in Pyrogy Park just off Pyrogy Drive. Various pyrogies can be sampled at the restaurants near by. The park is equipped with fresh water, and a nice scenery.  The Village of Glendon would like to invite you to come and enjoy our hospitality!

Village of GlendonThe Village is serviced with water and sewer, natural gas and street lights, and our streets are mostly tar base. Grocery store,  Convenience store, Coin Laundry,  Tire Shop, Glendon Motor Sports, Car Wash, Post Office, Hardware Store, Sears Outlet, Hair Stylist, Transport Depot, Two Restaurants, One Bulk Fuel Station, Liquor Store, Drug Store, Motel, Senior Citizens Home, Senior Citizens Drop-in Centre, Hockey Arena with large dine and Dance Hall, Curling Rink and Lounge, School (Grade K-12), Insurance agency, Alberta Motor Vehicles Agency, Health Centre, and several Churches to serve the needs of the residents of Glendon and surrounding area. The Village is surrounded by a good active mixed farming area. A great number of the residents of Glendon are retired farmers.
